Husted's extensive research and teaching experience includes business and public policy, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and corporate sustainability. He is recognized as a highly productive author on business ethics, having published extensively on various business-related topics. His academic work can be found in reputable journals such as Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, and Business & Society, among others. Additionally, he is a level III member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores of Conacyt (Conacyt National System of Researchers) and co-editor for the Business & Society journal.
In January 2018, Bryan Husted was honored with the "Insignia Award" during the 2017 Romulo Garza Research and Innovation Award ceremony in January 2018 in recognition of his 28-year research career at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
He has had an outstanding academic career as a professor and researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 1990 and at foreign institutions such as IE Business School in Madrid and the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
