Dr. Amorós has authored over 40 academic articles in prestigious international journals like Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, Technovation, Journal of Business Research, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research. Additionally, he serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Business Venturing Insights and the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. He has co-authored more than 30 monographs on entrepreneurial dynamics, some in collaboration with renowned institutions such as the World Economic Forum. Moreover, he is a level I member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores of Conacyt (Conacyt National System of Researchers) and a visiting professor at various universities in Latin America and Europe.
Amorós serves as a board member for GEM Global and is actively involved in the research committee for the project. Within the GEM project, he has contributed to assessing pro-entrepreneurship public policies across various countries. Additionally, he holds the position of Vice-President at the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, and he is a member of esteemed organizations such as the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of International Business, and the International Council of Small Business.
He was a professor and director of the Entrepreneurship Institute of the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile), a researcher at the Entrepreneurship Center of the Business School of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), and a guest researcher at the World Institute for Development Economics Research of the United Nations University (UNU-WIDER) as well as on projects associated with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the World Bank.
He has held various leadership positions at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, including serving as Director of Doctoral Programs at EGADE Business School, Director of the Business Administration Program, and Coordinator of the Entrepreneur Program at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, San Luis Campus.
