Dr. Trigos Salazar has a wide range of publications that focus on the sustainable utilization of quantitative tools to optimize business performance. His research encompasses various areas such as business analytics, industrial and business statistics, mathematical programming, and simulation. Additionally, he is interested in economic engineering, corporate finance, and investment. Trigos Salazar is a member level I of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores of Conacyt (Conacyt National System of Researchers) and the Academia Mexicana de Ciencias (Mexican Academy of Sciences).
In the corporate field, he served as the Director of Organizational Engineering and Director of Organization Development at Gates Rubber Mexico, where he led his team to qualify for the final stage of the Charles C. Gates Award, the highest recognition for teamwork and best practices at an international level. Additionally, Dr. Trigos has provided consultancy services to companies such as Aventis Pharma, Interjet, and Banco Azteca, among many others.
In addition to his teaching activities at EGADE Business School, Dr. Trigos has held various managerial positions at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, such as Director of Research and Graduate Programs, Director of the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, Director of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, and Director of the international Industrial Engineering program. He has also served as the academic advisor for student teams that have won first and third place in the International Simulation Competition organized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Rockwell Software company.
