Dr. Paz Toldos is the leader of the Thematic Area Research Group on Responsible Production, Marketing, and Consumption at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Business School.
She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid (2002) and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Finance and Management with a specialty in Marketing from Tulane University in New Orleans (2009). She has also worked as a tenured professor at the University of Alcalá de Henares and as an associate professor at the University of Valencia. She has been an SNII (Level 1) member since 2009 and is currently a tenured professor focusing on research at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
She initiated and led the first Committee for Wellbeing of Coexistence and Culture on the Guadalajara Campus, is the leader of the Solidarity Project “Unique Breed Dogs: Street Stories” within the Tec21 Social Service Model, recognized as an outstanding Solidarity Project by the National Coordination of Social Service, and is the leader of the Academic Community and Continuous Improvement of the Consumer Holistic Vision UF in the LEM program.
She received several awards, including the “TEC Woman Award in the Research Category” in 2014, the “Honorable Mention in the National Awards for Educational Research from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Spain),” “First Prize for Best Working Paper from the Consumer Research Association,” “Second Prize at the International Society for Research on Aggression conference,” the “Outstanding Research Award from the Institute for Business & Finance Research” for two consecutive years, the “Recognition in the Education category at the VI Recognition of Jalisco to Women,” and the “Recognition for the impact of her teaching and educational work that has left a mark on TEC graduates during its 70th, 75th, and 80th anniversaries,” in addition to other recognitions for being one of the best-rated professors in the Business and Humanities School and Graduate and Continuing Education at TEC. Throughout her career, she has participated in national and international conferences, conducted numerous research projects, and supervised master's and doctoral theses. She is the author and co-author of books, chapters, and articles in high-impact scientific journals.
For 18 years, she has been an activist committed to various civil associations. She has accompanied children with cancer and is an independent rescuer of animals in street or abusive situations, collaborating with the different associations in Guadalajara and various shelters. She has worked with Educadores Somos Todos A.C. as an Honorary Partner, coordinating intervention practices and diploma programs on school and family violence prevention for SNTE teachers. She has worked with public institutions such as the Jalisco Institute for Women, providing diploma courses for public servants on preventing family and gender violence and victim assistance.
A therapist, yoga instructor, and practitioner, she teaches classes and shares lessons on mindfulness, conscious breathing, and transpersonal psychology. A traveler and lover of nature, flamenco dance, and art, she has performed in theater and several feature films that tell stories to help raise social awareness.
