Dr. Cabral Torres' research focuses on the study of public finances, monetary policy, and the interaction of labor markets, as well as how these three areas affect the economic development of regions and countries.
His latest research publications have appeared in various journals, including the European Journal of Political Economy, Contemporary Economic Policy, International Journal of Educational Development, Annals of Regional Science, and Journal of Policy Modelling. Furthermore, he is an associate editor of IMEF's Revista Mexicana de Economía y Finanzas (REMEF) (Mexican Journal of Economics and Finance) and a member of the editorial board for the journal Investigación Económica (Economic Research). Dr. Cabral is a Level II Member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores of SECIHTI (Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación).
He has also been a consultant for the World Bank and participated in consultancy projects for companies such as Minera Autlán and Axtel, institutions such as the Canadian Consulate and the Metropolitan Water Fund of Monterrey, as well as for the state governments of Aguascalientes, Tabasco, Chiapas, and Nuevo León.
He currently holds the position of Research Professor of Finance and Business Economy Department and Research Group Leader on Applied Business, Finance, and Economics.
